David Passiak is all about bridging the gap between the old and the new. Through his entire life he has been trying to connect tradition, religion, spirituality, wisdom on the one hand and innovation, disruption and the constant change of societies and our environment on the other hand. David has written two books on this topic called Red Bull to Buddha and Disruption Revolution.
His first book, Red Bull to Buddha talks about his many months long journey through Asia where he was looking for "the answer" and how to bring values such as tradition and wisdom back into a world out of balance.
His second book Disruption Revolution is an absolute must for everybody out there who's interested in innovation. Not only because David interviewed some of my favorite authors but also because the interviews are very well done.
During this episode David and I talk about many interesting things.
Things like how he became "Records Dave" selling vinyls which led him to found two other businesses and drop out of his Phd studies at Princeton.
The importance of 1000 true fans in every business he built or was involved in.
How he landed a dream job using the above mentioned approach. Which was the exact same approach that brought him on my show by the way.
How he managed to get in touch with some of today's most important global shapers, thinkers and innovators and interviewed them for his book Disruption Revolution
David interviewed people like Seth Godin, Brian Solis, Chris Anderson, Robert Scoble, James Altucher, Alex Osterwalder, Erik Qualman and many more.
We also talk about what to do in a world out of balance and many more very interesting things during the rest of the show.
David is currently working on a new book on the sharing economy which I'm already very excited about. It should come out some time next year.
In the meantime, feel free to grab a copy of David's book Disruption Revolution (for free) by clicking the link below. By signing up, you'll also get updates on his new book.
